Start with an free preliminary review
We recognise that you are protective of your environment and the data within it. To make getting started easy, we suggest a free preliminary review be held with your ServiceNow Admin screensharing with one of our consultants.
This free session allows us to do a high level review to determine your security maturity and if PlatformProtect will be a good fit for your organisation.
Complete the full Assessment
Next step is to perform a full detailed assessment. This requires us gaining access to your environment where we will import over 300 automated checks to scan for non compliant security, privacy and performance issues. The assessment duration is one week and outputs a detailed report or prioritised items recommended for remediation. Download a sample report.
Assessment Review meeting
We will walk through the report with you, explaining the findings, the associated risks and the approaches to remediation of the recommended remediation items.
Remediation
In a time-boxed manner, starting with the highest severity items we will issues identified in the assessment report. We provide thorough documentation for all remediation work, including As built Docs, Test Docs, Change documentation and Organisation Change Management (OCM) communications for audiences like Administrators, ServiceDesk staff and End Users when remediation efforts may cause change that will impact their day to day work.
Maintenance
Maintain the improvements to security posture, hardening score, data privacy processes, platform health scores and subscriptions with a focused monthly service. The maintenance service entitles you to quarterly updates to the PlatfromProtect tools which expand the coverage provided.
The PlatformProtect assessment provides a detailed report that contains the findings of the assessment, details the risk related to non compliant security configurations and gives an estimate of remediation effort to address the recommended remediation items.
How does PlatformProtect compare to a ServiceNow Health Scan?
PlatformProtect enhances security by adding over 300 checks beyond the standard out-of-the-box (OOTB) offerings and conducting manual checks not covered by Health Scan. It also delivers a detailed remediation plan and cost estimate for the most critical issues, backed by experienced specialists in vulnerability remediation. Additionally, we provide a maintenance service to help you sustain the improvements achieved through remediation.
Is PlatformProtect a managed service for GRC, IRM or Security Operations Center (SOC)?
No. PlatformProtect is focused on the ServiceNow application itself and works to improve the Security, Privacy, Platform Health and Subscription posture of your ServiceNow instances. You do not need to purchase GRS, IRM or Security Operations Center to benefit from PlatformProtect.
How long does it take?
Not long. An assessment normally takes a week. This includes time for getting access to your instances, performing the automated and manual checks and then compiling the assessment report for you. We actually give you access to the assessment report in an online form during that week so that you can see it fill out as our assessment proceeds.
What do we need to do to getstarted?
Not much. We can do a non invasive 30 minute quick review of your Development instance for free. This can be done with one of your administrators screensharing so we don't even need to login to your environment.
If after the quick review you would like to proceed, we will then get a full assessment underway and for this we will need to be granted a user account on each instance of ServiceNow you would like to have assessed.
We’ll schedule a 30-minute kickoff meeting at a convenient time to outline the assessment process.
Post assessment we will arrange a one-hour review meeting with your ServiceNow Platform owner and Administrators to discuss the assessment findings and remediation steps. That is it for getting the assessment done.
How much does it cost?
Not a lot. Pricing is reasonable, with experienced resources and prepared documentation to simplify remediation. See the pricing section for details.
What access is needed?
We understand that your ServiceNow environment contains sensitive data so we work on minimum access needed basis. For the free preliminary review we don't require a User account as we can screenshare with your ServiceNow Administrator and let them drive. For the full assessment there are two approaches we can take. If your Administrator is avaialble to assist us for a few hours across the week, then we can perform the full assessment without requiring access to your environment. Alternatively, if your Administrator is not available to assist with the setup and review then we require a User account with Admin access to be granted in each instance you would like to have assessed. For both the remediation and mainteance stages we do require full Admin access in each instance.
